Who is TrueGender
Haley Bridges is the founder and director of TrueGender. She has extensive experience serving at-risk populations both nationally and abroad. An established entrepreneur in the Kansas City area, this is her fourth venture – the previous three establishing dominance in their markets, incurring 0% debt, and all remaining in the black from the second month of operation on. Her background in fundraising for nonprofit charities, and experience in founding and managing a brick-and-mortar storefront on the Country Club Plaza of Kansas City, are sure to support her in this new endeavor.
Lastly, Ms. Bridges has a nine-year-old transgender child of her own. This not only informs her operation, but connects her to the pulse of the transgender community in Kansas City and beyond.

“I spent 20+ years of my career in marketing for Fortune 500 companies, international non-profits, and professional sports teams.
Because of my transgender daughter, I have become a political activist for LGBT rights and acceptance and now use my communications skills traveling the country speaking about transgender youth. I am a PFLAG chapter president and work with several other LGBT organizations.
I also operate a website for parents of transgender and gender non-conforming children: trans-parenting.com and have recently started a consultancy and inclusivity training business on trans issues, Gender Inc.
I was awarded the 2016 NEA GLBT Caucus Role Model Award for my contributions to education about the LGBTQ+ community. I share my story to prove that conservative Southern families can be supportive of LGBT issues.”
